In 1980 Egbert Beuving received his Master of Science degree at the Technical University of Delft (in the Netherlands) in Pavement engineering.
After getting his degree we worked during 10 years as Technical Manager for Netherlands Pavement Consultants.
In 1990 he joined CROW, the Dutch Information and Technology Centre for Transport and Infrastructure, as a project manager. Here he coordinated National research activities in the area of road construction, recycling and asphalt pavements.
Besides being a member of several European Committees, such as COST-Actions and a Technical RILEM Committee on Preventing Reflective Cracking in Pavements, he was chairman of COST Action 336 ‘Falling Weight Deflectometer’.
In 2001 Egbert served as the Technical Director of European Asphalt Pavement Association (EAPA). Here he was the focal point for EAPA on technical issues.
In 2009 he served as the Director of European Asphalt Pavement Association (EAPA). He has been the Secretary General of EAPA since 2013.
He has been involved in the organisation of many conferences, including 4 Eurasphalt & Eurobitume Congresses. He has also written many publications and given many presentations.
He is also a member of several European Standardization (CEN) Committees and other international committees.
